LifeHQ

Terms of Service

Last updated 26 August 2026

These are the rules for using LifeHQ. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who you are agreeing with

LifeHQ is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“we”, “us”). “You” means the person using the account. You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] to use LifeHQ, and if you are using it for an organisation you confirm you may agree to these terms on its behalf.

2. Your account

3. Your content is yours

Everything you put into LifeHQ stays yours. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: to store your content, transmit it, back it up, and display it to you and to anyone you have deliberately shared it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account, apart from backups already taken, which age out.

We do not use your content to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising.

4. What you must not do

Security research is welcome when done in good faith against your own account. Tell us what you find at [SECURITY CONTACT EMAIL] before telling anyone else, and we will not pursue you for it.

5. Sharing

Sharing is your decision and your responsibility. A public subscribe link is readable by anyone who has it, without signing in — if you post it somewhere public, it is public. Revoke it from Settings and it stops working immediately.

6. Plugins

Plugins written by other people are their software, not ours. We review submissions before publication and we sandbox everything that runs, but:

7. If you build plugins

Applying for a developer account means agreeing to this section as well.

8. Availability

LifeHQ is provided as-is. We do not promise a particular uptime, and we may take it down for maintenance. It is not a system of record: keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The Export everything button in Settings exists for exactly that, and we would rather you used it regularly than trusted us not to have a bad day.

Alarms and reminders depend on networks, browsers and notification services we do not control. Do not rely on LifeHQ for anything safety-critical — medication, a flight, anything where a missed alert genuinely matters.

9. Price

LifeHQ is currently free. If we ever introduce paid features we will give existing users reasonable notice, and we will not retroactively put your existing data behind a paywall.

10. Ending it

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability to you is limited to [LIABILITY CAP].

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by any of this.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use LifeHQ afterwards means accepting the new version; if you do not, close your account and take your data with you.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring proceedings where you live.
